Mr KNOPH Haakon and Ms NAYEBI AHRANJANI Mahta (Four people, July 30th - August 4th, Northeast Vietnam, Motorbike)Tempo of the tour and the stop-over: Would recommend more frequent stops (once per hour) regardless of the scenery. Also, it would be more interesting to stay at traditional Vietnamese villages or at least stop over for food & pictures.
What were your favorite places? Mud driving & scenery around Quang Uyen were very enjoyable.
Transportation: Motorcycle was in good condition but low in power compared to the other bikes on the tour.
Accommodation: We really enjoyed the accommodation. There was a nice family feeling. However, the accommodation at Ba Be Lake is more comparable to a basic hotel with no sense of it being a private house - Although I guess, there was no other option considering the location.
Food: Insufficient quantity. Needed a bigger supply of breakfast! Good quality. Selection was better at homestays rather than restaurants (when the decision was entirely up to the guide)
The organization - Guide services: Great patience, constantly smiling & always working hard. We are surprised to find this section on the questionnaire because no such information was shared with us & often when we did ask questions about customs & different cultures they were brushed off or answered very briefly. We feel that at times we might have insulted the families at the homestays because we didn't know proper customs. Although it seems as though he has extensive knowledge of politics. Good language.
The price: Yes, good value! We were a little disappointed with the amount of extra expense we had to pay for - But seeing that $50 refund covered these expenses, we are satisfied. Thank you.
How did you hear about us? Walked by the shop & saw the sign with listed tours.
Others:
- Recommend your customers to take rubber boots to avoid wet feet for every day of trip.
- Recommend customers to take face mask to avoid inhalation of dust & exhaust fumes.
- Provide customers with choice of available food options at restaurants & allow them to give their preferences.
- With a sight increase in price you can include all drinks (or if that is too vague, may be include 5 drinks per day for each person).
- Tour guide can recommend photo stops if the customers seem to be interested in photography.
- Tour guide should have snacks available in case of delays.
Overall, you're a great company & with very few changes, you can be perfect!
