Tempo of the tour and the stop-over: The stops were all good. The ant of travelling each day was perfect for me as I had never ridden a motorbike before. Also this allowed for time to stop, take photos, swim at waterfalls and explore caves.
What were your favorite places? All!! "Home stays" were most enjoyable accommodation.
Accommodation: All the accommodation was great, but enjoyed staying with families at homestays the most. Some guest houses were not maintained – ie air conditioner and hot water not working. While this didn't bother us, it might bother others.
Food: Enormous. Some places were a little disappointing but homestay all very good-excellent.
The organization - Guide services: Our guide spoke good English and there was no language barrier. He was happy to interpret when he stayed with local familes. Our guide was always happy to answer our many, many questions and most helpful with all our request. Our guide had a good knowledge of local roads, hill tribes and their culture customs and also general Vietnamese culture. Our guide had an excellent attitude – nothing was too much trouble. He made sure we enjoyed our ride and was happy with our trip. The office went out of their way to tailor the trip to suit our needs and offered good advice about the trip.
The price: Even though we paid more because there was only 2 of us ( not 4 ) the tour was excellent value for money and we had a totally personalized tour . I would always recommend this company tours, rather going by yourself or with a less experienced ( maybe less expensive) company. We had a great trip and there were no problems, but if there are problems ( like roads closed due to landslides etc) then the guide local knowledge and the support of the company is invaluable in being able to continue your trip and enjoy it. "Excellent value for money" will highly recommend to all !!
