Tempo of the tour and the stop-over: Ealier in the tour, we travelled less each day than later in the tour - it would have been better to travel approximately the same distance each day. Next time, I would prefer not to stop at the first two destinations. Rather, I would like to catch the train too and from Hanoi / Lao Cai and spend more time in areas like Sapa, Bac Ha, Xin Man, Vinh Quang and Yen The to Vinh Quang.

What were your favorite places? The drive between Yen The and Xin Man, Bac Ha and Sapa - were all very beautiful.

Transportation: Hung was an excellent guide! The tour would not have been as great as it was without his knowledge and happy-go-lucky nature. The Minsk motorcycles were not reliable vehicles (for riding double). At times they did not have sufficient power to make it up the hills. They were also uncomfortable.

Accommodation: Song Thao homestay - 7/10, Thac Ba - 4/10, Yen The 10/10. All the homestay families were very lovely, kind and generous people who made us feel welcome in their homes.

Food: It was a little difficult because I do not like pork and at the first two homestays they gave us a lot of pork to eat. The food at the Yen The homestay was excellent!

The organization - Guide services: Excellent attitude, knowledge, culture, ethnology, sociology. Hung was an incredible guide. It will be sad that he won't be joining us for rest of our holiday!

The price: I thought the tour cost was quite high. I'd be interested to see a breakdown of costs - may be I'm mistaken?

Others: An excellent adventure. Perhaps you should ask tourists if they have any food requirements before the trip - and then advise homestays accordingly.
