What were your favorite places? Homestays. Backroads.
Accommodation: I prefer to stay in private houses.
Food: Sufficient quantity. Excellent quality. Slow day in Sapa was a bit too slow.
The organization - Guide services: Good and excellent attitude. Excellent spirit, enthusiasm, rapport with locals + guest, knowledge of route. More info up front each day on expectations, options, uncertainties, status, etc would be an improvement. Greater anticipation of challenge / difficulties with proactive problem solution & avoidance is needed. Front my experience, I do not have the highest confidence that my guide will head off problems & stay out of trouble therefore I felt the need to second guess him at some situations and take an active roll in decision making. At times this required persistent questioning when my guide was trying to withhold information about potential challenges and problems. Still, this is to be expected when travelling like this in a foreign country. The guide was outstanding in bringing me inside the country and culture. And having a good time. Dat spoke good English.
The price: Yes, good value.

Others: I would recommend Voyage Vietnam to anyone interested in this kind of trip + willing to take responsibility for their riding & their risks. One of my all-time best international experiences! Also: Small training sessions on handling the bike in different road & weather conditions as the trip goes on could go a long way in preventing accidents.
