TOUR 1. EXPLORE GOLDEN TRIANGLE

Discover the infamous Golden Triangle, a remote area covering parts of Shan State in Myanmar and smaller, adjacent areas of Laos and Thailand. This is one of the most exciting rides in Laos. It is a sensational trip requiring a high level of riding skill, a free spirit and a sense of adventure. It is muddy, slippery, rocky and wild and will leave you tired but exhilarated.

Discover one of the wildest areas in the world, riding through a beautiful untouched natural environment of dense jungle and native wildlife. Enjoy a relaxing time on the Mekong River and see large area of the border country of Laos, Thailand and Myanmar at the junction of the Mekong and Sop Rivers.

Visit the villages of local hill tribes such as Akha, Lu, Thai Dam, Mien, Yunnases, Lo Lo; meet with them and eat with them to experience and appreciate their different cultures. Options include trekking and riding elephants through the central grasslands of the Golden Triangle.

As these are our special trips in Northern Laos, you will need to contact us at least 2 months in advance for all the necessary information about roads, weather, etc and to allow time for some rider training in muddy and slippery conditions.

The 6 days trip will ride over 800 km, through 4 provinces in Northwest Laos, following a dirt trail along the Laos border with Thailand, Myanmar and China. We follow the old drug trafficking trails to discover this unique area, which was the centre of opium poppy growing in Indochina.

Route: Luang Prabang - Xayaboury - Mekong boat trip - Huay Xai - Golden Triangle - Udomxai - Luang Prabang.

What was the best experience of your riding trip? How was it? I guess it was great and it is not fair to compare - but this trip is not for the faint-hearted. This is not "live to ride..." but simply "ride to be alive". If you have limited time, try the 5-day trip but the 14-day trip to Northern Laos is far more interesting. Just do it - after this experience you will need new words to describe your motorbiking adventure?

The 14-day trip takes you to explore the most interesting motorcycle routes in South-East Asia. Riding about 2,900 km through all the Northern provinces of Laos.

TOUR 2. THE LAND OF MILLION ELEPHANTS

Visit Laos, the land of a million elephants. This trip takes you 13 days to explore the Northern part of Laos. It's not just great riding, along dusty, muddy, bumpy rocky trails but also being amazed at the power of nature. You will learn about Lao culture as we visit many different ethnic minority villages and some areas affected by the Second Indochina War; visit World Heritage site, Luang Prabang, which has many wats and centres of Laos Buddhism; explore the Mekong River by boat. Conquer some of the worst road conditions in South-East Asia. This trip requires a high level of motorbike riding skill, especially if the roads are muddy.

TOUR 3. TASTE OF LAOS

Explore one of the wildest areas in Indochina, as we ride through many dense, beautiful rainforests. 'Rock and Roll' takes on a new meaning with the demanding terrain, but the adventure continues off the bike as well. While cooling your boots, there will be plenty of opportunities to visit with and learn about the different ethnic minority cultures you'll encounter.

Visit the World Heritage site of Luang Prabang. Discover Vieng Xay, the former Pathetic Lao Revolutionary head-quarters in the famous limestone cliffs. These jagged formations are riddled with caves and the history of the Pathet Lao during the second Indochina War. We will also visit the enigmatic Plain of Jars in Xieng Khoang Province.
